Tuesday Color Crush: Crimson

Posted on December 4, 2012 by Johnnalynn Lynch in Color Crush, Fashion Tips, Home, Look of the Day, Shopping, Trends 2 Comments

Hey Afaconados!

This week's color crush is on the color Crimson. Talk about a rich color! And just in time for the holidays no less. I've always been a fan of red and it's actually a color my mother used to tell me looked better on me than others. I like crimson more out of all the different shades of red because of it's richness. It wears well on it's own, but can easily go with some other great colors in the darker color family like hunter green or navy blue.

Here are a few of my crimson picks for this week:

Crimson Leather Trim Peasant Blouse - $298 at Tracey Reese

Black Halo Jackie Velvet Dress – $390 at Neiman Marcus

Colin Signature Skinny – $198 at Hudson Jeans

Pure Karma 'Terra' Sweatshirt – $42 at Nordstrom.com

Linea Pelle Double Wrap with Nailhead Studs – $52 at Zappos.com

Crimson Suede Skinny Belt – $13 at NastyGal.com

Until next time!

LOTD: 1 Zara Dress, 4 Ways To Wear It

Posted on October 7, 2012 by Johnnalynn Lynch in Fashion Tips, Home, Look of the Day, Shopping, Trends 2 Comments

Hey Afaconados!

So I got bored last night when I got home and decided to take some outfit pictures. I am absolutely in LOVE with this tunic dress I got from Zara recently because it’s extremely comfortable and versatile. There’s nothing better than buying one piece that can be worn multiple ways. Changing up outfits is something I pride myself in and I almost NEVER wear an outfit the same way twice. This dress is so versatile in fact, that I came up with 4 different ways to wear it!

Here are my outfit details:

Dress: Tunic w/Printed Bib Front from Zara – $80, Shoes: Platform Boots by Report (purchased a year ago at DSW)…comparable shoes by clicking here. Belt: Wide Deep Purple Belt by Linea Pelle (purchased at TJ Maxx a few years back). I couldn’t find a comparable purple belt like mine but you can wear any type of wide belt. I suggest a dark brown color. Bag: Madison Leather Maggie Shoulder Bag by Coach – $358. Vest: Faux Fur Vest by an Unknown Designer purchased on Ebay for $50.

Here’s the dress:

And there you have it! 4 ways to wear 1 dress! This tunic dress is still available at Zara so get it while the getting is good!

Until next time!

Fashion Tip: Casual Mixed Print Look for the Office

Posted on June 25, 2012 by Johnnalynn Lynch in Fashion Tips, Home, Shopping, Trends, Uncategorized 3 Comments

Hey Afaconados!

Don’t forget to enter your comment on the Giveaway posting this week so you can have a chance to win a fabulous Kendra Scott bracelet!

The look I put together for this posting is very similar to what I’m actually wearing at work today. I’m lucky to work in an office that doesn’t require that I dress in traditional business attire. Even though I have the option to wear jeans in the office, however, I still like to at least feel like I’m dressed up.

I’m obsessed with the concept of mixing prints these days so every opportunity I get, I’m trying to put together outfits that mix different prints. Check out my set:
